Lonesyte ("we", "our" or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information when you use our website and platform.

  1. 1.Information we collect

    • Account information: name, email address, password (stored by our authentication provider) and account type.
    • Organization information: organization name, role, domain and verification details.
    • Profile and work information: skills, languages, location at the precision you choose, applications, offers, contracts and deliverables.
    • Payment information: handled by our payment providers. We store references and amounts, not full card numbers.
    • Communications sent through the platform, including messages, reports and support requests.
    • Consent records: which policy version you accepted, when, in which language and on which screen.
    • Usage and device data such as pages viewed, browser type and a hashed IP address.
  2. 2.How we use information

    • To provide and operate the platform and the marketplace workflow.
    • To match contributors with opportunities, research and local support requests.
    • To process payments and payouts.
    • To keep the platform safe, investigate reports and prevent fraud.
    • To send service messages, and marketing messages only if you opted in.
    • To meet legal obligations and keep required records.
  3. 3.Sharing

    We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

    • With the other party to an application, offer or contract, as far as that work requires. Exact addresses for in-person work are withheld until a contract exists.
    • With service providers that run the platform for us (hosting, authentication, email, payments).
    • When required by law or to protect the safety of users.
  4. 4.Retention

    We keep information for as long as your account is open and afterwards only as long as needed for contracts, payments, disputes, safety and legal obligations. Consent records are kept as evidence even after an account is closed.

  5. 5.Your choices and requests

    Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to object to certain processing. The rights available to you depend on your jurisdiction.

    • Manage marketing preferences at any time in Settings → Privacy.
    • Request a data export, a correction, deletion or account closure from Settings → Privacy.
    • We may need to verify your identity and may retain some information where the law requires it.

  6. 6.Security

    • Encrypted connections and secure authentication.
    • Role-based access to administrative tools, with an audit log.
    • IP addresses in audit and consent records are stored hashed.
  7. 7.International transfers

    Our providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

  8. 8.Changes

    We publish each change as a new version with its own effective date and keep a record of which version you acknowledged.
