This wording is provided for transparency and remains subject to final legal review. Where it differs from rights you have under applicable law, the law prevails.

Trust on Lonesyte comes from clear agreements, honest signals and a way to raise concerns that is taken seriously. This page explains what we do and what we ask of you.

  1. 1.Clear agreements

    • Work begins only after an offer is explicitly accepted. The accepted terms are recorded and cannot be silently changed.
    • Invitations and applications never create a contract on their own.
    • Keep communication and payment on Lonesyte where practical, so there is a record if something goes wrong.
  2. 2.What verification means

A badge says exactly which check was completed, and nothing more. Verification is a trust signal, not a guarantee of performance, conduct, safety, quality, payment or future behaviour.

    • Domain verified (companies): an admin of the company's Lonesyte workspace confirmed an email address at the same domain as the company's website. It does not confirm the company's legal registration, ownership, address or other business details.
    • Identity verified (contributors): a Lonesyte reviewer has checked the contributor's identity. Not every contributor has this check. It does not confirm their skills, qualifications or work history.
    • Lonesyte does not currently verify business details such as registration numbers or addresses, so no badge represents them.
    • A missing badge means the check has not been completed — not that anything is wrong.
  3. 3.In-person work

    • Confirm the scope, date, time and location before you go.
    • Exact addresses are shared only with the contracted party.
    • Tell someone where you will be, and leave if you feel unsafe.
    • Report anything concerning, even after the work is done.
  4. 4.Reporting

Use the Report action on a profile, company, listing, message or contract. Every report gets a reference number and is reviewed by our team. Reports are confidential; we do not tell the reported party who filed them.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. For anything else: support@lonesyte.com.

  5. 5.Enforcement

Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn, suspend or close accounts, and freeze related contracts or payouts while we investigate.
